Play For Peace
The momentum created during the IYSPE at Magglingen Conference on “Sport for Development” in 2005, moved IATWS in cooperation with UNESCO to lead the process by follow up 1st regional seminar in post conflict are in Western Africa (Abidjan/Cote D’Ivoire) in 2006 using traditional wrestling as effective instrument to promote society development and peace culture environments.
By evaluating previous events such as our local projects in Vingate Institute for PES, 2004-05 (Israel) and Almaty, November 2006 (KAZ), based on successful seminar in Abidjan, IATWS include “Sport for Development and Peace” as build in component of future activities under slogan “Play for Peace”. We give the conflicted countries an opportunity to communicate and to learn to know each other.

Through “Play for Peace” they can develop new relationships across borders, and more people will move to the integrated parts of the circles.
Our “Play for Peace” initiative is a worldwide leading project using traditional wrestling, the colorful TSG representative, to promote society social – economic development and peace building process.
